Providence is calling a Pharmacist (0.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Newberg Medial Center in Newberg, OR.
In this position, you will:
Provide pharmaceutical care to Providence Newberg Hospital patients.
Assume responsibility for all aspects of the pharmacy including purchasing, storing, dispensing and controlling all medications and maintaining appropriate records in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
Be routinely involved with a potential for mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, tissues or potential spills or splashes and must use appropriate measures and protective equipment (tasks and protective equipment are listed in the department Infection Control Manual) in accordance with the hospital’s OR-OSHA blood borne pathogen regulations.
Be responsible for the assessment, treatment, or care of patients of all ages including neonate, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
Demonstrate an understanding of the development and range of treatment needs for each patient.
Required q ualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy
Current license to practice in Oregon
Be able to read and understand hospital documents including medical terminology
Be able to enter information into computer
Have ability to write legibly
Have basic math skills including calculating percentage mark-up
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Advanced degree -or-
Hospital pharmacy experience -or-
