Providence Health & Services Nursing Shift Supervisor in Newberg, Oregon
Providence is calling an on-call Registered Nurse Shift Supervisor (0.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, OR.
Being an on-call RN Shift Supervisor at Providence Newberg means you'll have a wonderful opportunity to work is a challenging leadership role within a small, very close-knit community hospital. The teams at Providence Newberg work well together and operate in a very patient-focused capacity. This position is unique in that the RN will be tasked with duties that different teams would be required to handle in a larger hospital setting. This means that the RN Shift Supervisor could be breaking people for lunches in the ICU, rounding on all areas of the hospital, and helping with things as needed. This role will fill in for their Shift Supervisor team for vacation coverage, leaves, sick time coverage, etc. You'll be able to sign up for available shifts weeks in advance.
In this position, you will:
Be accountable for the provision and quality of nursing services at the facility level for a defined shift, in support of Providence Health & Services System and Regional goals.
Be responsible assuring a balance of optimal and efficient patient care; staff, patient, and physician satisfaction; and cooperative partnerships with other organizational departments and professional groups.
Perform with a constant focus on patient-centeredness, and staff and patient safety, while supporting standards and systems for care delivery for your facility.
Work with systems that promote evidence-based practice and are designed to support the management of productivity targets within a context of constant change in patient volumes, patient acuity, and available resources.
Provide leadership that consistently supports efficient and effective patient care services, and that support the organizational and system goals, which includes advancing the strategic vision and goals of the Oregon Nursing Center of Excellence.
Constructively manage change and promote a team-based approach.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
6 years in nursing with experience in progressive leadership roles
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or master's degree in related field
