Providence Health & Services Dietary Manager in Newberg, Oregon
Providence is calling a Dietary Manager (1.0 FTE, Days) to Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, OR.
In this position, you will:
Be responsible for managing the Dietary Services Department and Clinical Dietetics Program.
Be accountable for the production of good quality, cost effective meals for patients, employees and the public.
Oversee the teaching of patients and others about nutrition and proper diet.
Interact frequently with doctors, nurses, other hospital staff, and patients.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Registered Dietitian, qualified Dietetic Professional -or- Bachelor's Degree with Food Service experience
2 years of work experience in food service management
Must have a thorough knowledge of dietary management, menu planning and diet therapy
Sound knowledge of principles of budget planning, purchasing procedures, and cost control
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve
Demonstrated ability to promote hospital’s management philosophy and public relations philosophy through personal and departmental performance
Demonstrated ability to initiate programs as needed to improve departmental performance and quality of the food system
